Stafford County Sheriff's Detective RJ Grella met a woman online on Dec. 12, and met up with her at the Staybridge Suites on Richmond Highway after a brief text exchange, Sheriff David Decatur said.
Grella and patrol deputies made contact with the woman and found drugs in the room, Decatur said. Then, they learned that three floors up, there was another potential prostitution incident, the sheriff said.
The female involved in the first incident has not yet been charged, but warrants may be obtained at a later date.
Deputies made their way to the second room where they were met by five individuals. Among the group were Brandon McKinney, 28, of Aroda; Crystal Smith, 32, of Stafford; and Earl Fisher, 39, of Dumfries.
McKinney had drugs. Smith was wanted out of Fairfax for felony failure to appear. Fisher gave a false name to law enforcement, and was found in possession of drugs, too. He was also wanted out of Prince William County for failure to comply with support, Decatur said.
Later on, both McKinney and Fisher tried to smuggle suspected drugs the into Rappahannock Regional Jail, earning them both additional charges. The other two individuals within the room have not yet been charged, but warrants may be obtained at a later date.
Once again, deputies learned of another potential prostitution incident involving two wanted suspects currently at the Motel 6 on Warrenton Road.
The first suspect was Evan Williams, 33, of Stafford. The second suspect was Krystina Frame, 31, of Spotsylvania. Williams was wanted out of Stafford County for felony failure to appear, and for numerous probation violations, Decatur said. Frame was wanted out of Spotsylvania for felony failure to appear.
Smith did not make it far before she was detained, while Williams was found hiding on nearby Musselman Road, Decatur said. Both had drugs in their possession, according to the sheriff.
- McKinney was charged with two counts of possession of controlled substances, and felony by prisoner.
- Fisher was charged with possession of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, providing a false identity to law enforcement, identity fraud, unlawful name change, and felony by prisoner.
- Williams was charged with possession of controlled substances and trespassing.
- Frame was charged with possession of controlled substances and obstruction of justice.
Frame, Williams, Smith, and Fisher were served on their outstanding warrants. All five were held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. All of these incidents are still under investigation.
